Meet boxer Eddie
Eddie is a trainer registered with the Combat Sports Authority who is bringing his skills to Tribe. As an experienced boxer and trainer, Eddie currently runs several regular boxing classes providing training and general exercise.
He is currently a support worker with Tribe and is now combing his passion for training and providing care and support to our clients and their families. Eddie’s classes aim to provide participants with the opportunity to learn boxing fundamentals and increase their overall fitness. The program is designed to focus on exercise, listening, and participation skills whilst also providing our clients with an opportunity to socialize.
All classes are conducted in a fun and safe environment with no direct physical contact, instead Eddie trains and develops boxing skills using punching mitts and gloves to ensure all participants feel secure and confident. We look forward to Eddie’s boxing sessions and providing our Tribe the opportunity to get fit whilst having some fun.
Eddie has created a feedback sheet where each participant will receive stars for the completion of certain activities and for how well they got through them. This can be given to participants as a way of tracking their progress and as something to be proud of.
Boxing offers an array of physical and mental advantages. Physically, boxing improves cardiovascular fitness, coordination, endurance, and strength. Psychologically, it fosters confidence, concentration, resilience, self-awareness, and stress relief.
